Baseball in St. Pete is not working. Sorry. Yes, I've heard countless times from many people about how teams struggle at the gate during certain years but gain them back when they're winning. Sure, it has happened before but the Rays could go 100-62 and it still wouldn't matter. They have a bad stadium that shouldn't have been built in the first place, a fractured market that hasn't shed its northern loyalties for whatever reason and a fractured ownership group that can't even pay the bills. eek

Talk about disaster. At least Miami has proven that it can support a MLB franchise(and can again if the situation would get a bit more positive).

I couldn't agree more.

Given my choice, I would keep the Miami Marlins put, and move the Devil Rays.

The Tampa/St. Pete area just hasn't taken to the Rays. It was a bad idea at the time, and it's a mistake they can fix.
