To me I doubt anybody would agree with me on this. But how about switching the Marlins to the AL and the Devil Rays to the NL?
I know both teams are in poor shape but would these cities be different if some other teams would visit these towns. Florida - AL East teams IMO are better suited for the South Florida market. A. Yankees - close to a sell out i say B. Orioles - Didnt they have a training camp close to Miami c. Red Sox - I know there are alot of Red Sox fans in the area. These would be good games and im sure the attendence would be better. Tampa Bay - A. Cardinals - used to have spring training in St. Pete B. Cubs - always attract well on the road c. Giants - Barry show D. Braves - a natural rival? E. Mets - they attract well also F. Dodgers - see Cubs and Mets Comments please Kansas City Royals - 1985 World Series Champions |

I posed the question to them, and they really don't mind leaving the AL.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Beware of the Silver & Black attack |

Would the Mets draw to Tropicana the way the Yankees do?
Not knowing too much else, it sounds like the Yankees have a long history down by the bay. From an owner's perspective, well, I tend to think this talk is off the rocker. From the fan perspective, it's a problem in trying to get support for the home team. Not an easy call. Would it make a difference in Miami to see more of the Yankees? Probably so. Sometimes, I wonder if most everyone back east would prefer the AL, and everyone near LA wants to be in the Dodgers' division. ----------------------------------- The concept of signatures is lame. |
