I just thought of a new, well actually it's been used by the Dodgers before but, how about the 'Portland Robins?'

I don't see any team wearing Red and Brown as team colors, and only the closest would be the Astros. Anyone feel free to make jerseys, logos, etc. for either the Frog name and/or the Robin name. I don't have the software.

The only thing Portland needs to do is ask the Dodgers for permission to own the name when the day comes and then BOOM, we're set.

The Portland Cedars is a very creative logo, but I like the Portland Steelheads...you know, the fish.

What do you guys think? Hopefully somebody hasn't already thought of that...

It would be a good transition for the Marlins, because they would still stay fish...

I wouldn't touch the style/color of the Marlin Jersey's.

They are some of the better looking uniforms in baseball, imho.

I like the Portland's (disbanded?) ABA team name, the Reign. I think that would be a great name for our new MLB team.

The Portland Reign.

Uhm No offense to anyone in here but I think we need a "MAJOR LEAGUE" name. Some of these names sound like kids teams. I think Portland should adopt the Expos name again. Blue and red would capture the pro look best. I like the Pioneers the most out of all the suggestions. There is alot of green already in Oregon so I think the colors should be Red/black or red/blue something warmer then greens and blues and plus those are seattle colors. We need that Rose red in our jerseys.

If the Marlins move here, I vote for the Portland Steelheaders. Keeps the fish byline and gives the team the qualities of a fish and region that says: Tough; Strong; Adaptable; Never give up attitude
