I seem to recall that one of the major gripes against MLB2PDX was "corporate welfare." Well, I hope that many of those people who said that about MLB2PDX wrote their congressmen and senators a very nasty letter about the bailouts of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns, and AIG. This definitely amounts to corporate welfare, and I definitely don't like it. Why should our tax dollars go to bailing out these failing businesses? They should be allowed to go under because they are failing. New businesses will sprout up to take their place. It's the way free enterprise is supposed to work.
