Last night's nightmare (81-108, and it wasn't even that close) aside, it is awesome to see the Blazers becoming playoff contendas again...PDX can surely lay claim to the title of the NBA's best fans, wrestling it away from Sactown's great fans, who rightfully boasted the NBA's best fans during the early part of this decade...David Stern, at last night's playoff game in PDX's Gahden, was verbally amazed on ESPN's coverage about the depth of support in PDX for their pro hoops team, waxing about 15,000 people..for a rally in Pioneer Square (!)...I can't help but like David Stern (he's been overall a great commish other than some boneheaded decisions such as rubber stamping the Stupor Sonics' move to OKC), and I enjoyed his gushing comments about PDX as a pro hoops fortress...however, I am not so naive to think he wouldn't OK a Blazer to move to Guadalajara given the slightest provacation or if it could make the NBA/one of his buddies $5.
