The article again focuses on Lents... mostly because Randy Leonard can't control his enthusiasm.

This second site MIGHT be something I ran across a couple weeks ago when googling a bit. Leaves me to wonder.

The third site is hush-hush... and perhaps that's the city-owned site Paulson is rumored to gush over. No mention of this yet.

Thanks for linking Paul... I saw this but didn't have to time to post anywhere (for which I'm sure the gang over at soccercityusa.com, some of whom hate my guts for suggesting that a downtown ballpark is very important, are grateful).

My assumption is that the 3rd site is either PPS, MC, or Lincoln High School. If not them then it must be another downtown site. Paulson's comments were keyed on the importance of a baseball-only facility and (without trashing Lents) having it downtown. This is so obvious to anyone who studies stadium trends.

The Google results is a two block parcel planned to be a park for the North Pearl District. Don't think this is the unknown second site. I think the third location is the PPS/Blanchard site and negotiations are underway with the school district so nothing can be discussed in public. I think the second site is a non-starter but is mentioned to make us look the other way (waste time while the third site is being finalized).

Very smart tactic in the real estate and political world.

Some of us zeroed in on the PPS site from day one so we are possible seeing our dream come true (hope and pray). Funny how the second article speaks to the dreams about the Rose Quarter becoming more then a One Trick Pony. And they are actually spending the time thinking about this idea. Heady days friends!
