One of the Admins here is getting tired of editing all these URLs. Maybe everyone can keep in mind that the really long URLs draw the forum frame of the browser WAY out, which makes it difficult to read because of having to scroll back and forth.

Rules to keep in mind:

  • If the URL is short, it's okay to paste it as is.
  • If the URL is longer than the Reply box that you are posting your message in and wraps to another line, then follow Dodger Matt's procedure for fixing URLs as shown below.

Dodger Matt's procedure for fixing URLs

  1. Enter {url= before the text you want as your hyperlink. (Replace the curly brackets with the UBB square brackets [ ] in all examples.)
  2. Paste the URL (the "http" stuff) after the equal sign. No space. Close it with a square bracket.
  3. Enter the hyperlink text, like Click here.
  4. Enter {/url}, again replacing curly brackets with square brackets.
  5. Enter a smiley big grin and a note to your OBC administrators telling them what a wonderful job they're doing to make your online OBC Forum reading experience so enjoyable.

Thank you.

Portland in the National League.
