I hope so too, Blair, but after looking at the Expos team page history created Chris Creamer (have to find the link to it), I'm not sure. Basically, Montreal has no desire to be what it was during the Claude Brochu era or even what the Oakland A's were/are pre-move("Moneyball"). Montreal wants to be able to hang onto its star players and be able to bring in more stars to realistically compete for pennants, per what Chris Creamer's site says. Dunno how they're going to be able to do that when they don't have a team (for starters) or a new stadium with all the bells & whistles (aka ballpark villages & similar developments. A must in this day and age). Having lukewarm or even hostile feelings for MLB can make MLB ignore it for a loong time. Washington learned THAT the hard way!!
