Could someone make an interlocking "P" and "A" for a Portland A's logo? I believe the font the A's use is Old English, similar to the Detroit Tigers.

This may be a fun exercise in logo altering, but the purist in me says, "Don't mess with a classic."
The Athletics logo is something so simplistically perfect as to never be messed with. If the A's wound up here for some reason I'd change the uni's to the red, gray and blue of old again, but not mess with the "A". A man has to have goals- for a day, for a lifetime- that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived." - Ted Williams |

Yeah, leave the A's logo only. I say change the colors but not the logo. For colors I say leave the green, but add red (red for roses, rose city). That would look charge I say.

quote: Call me superstitious, but it seems to me that every city that has had the A's has wound or will wind up (in Oakland's case) losing them, and in every city that the A's have called home, the logo never changed. I want to put a stop to the wandering nomads once and for all, should the nomads wind up in Portland. The "A" is great for the team name, but to me, it just doesn't seem like it has a loyalty to the city that the team plays in. I could never force myself to remove the "A" altogether, but I could live with an interlocking "P" and "A." A more subtle idea might be putting a rose over the "A". I could live with that too. Heck, you purists/traditionalists probably love the "Sox" on the White Sox cap, but I hate it!!! It belongs on the jersey, not the cap. The old White Sox had a "C" on their cap for Chicago, and it made sense. Numbers don't lie. People do. Beware of the Silver & Black attack |

Yeah. That's my color suggestion as well. Two of the OBC Forums colors: Pine and Brick. Portland in the National League. |

Keep the Green and Gold and add Rose Red instead of the white "A's" on the hat make it Rose Red,that would be a totally different look....But don't change the green and gold..Unless............You go back to the old Connie Mack Blue,Grey, and White Philadelphia Athletics, unis and colors, the ultimate retro.
