Welcome, linusalf!

Hope we see more posts from you in the future.

People get the impression that we pulled these team names out of the air and said, "Lets steal 'em!" Truth is, these teams were in trouble long before this site came around.

I grew up in Richmond, and saw some of my first games in Oakland. I loved them then and I love them now. All teams should stay where they are, if they can, but it's not a matter of "if" any more, it's "when."

If Steve Schott continues with his troubles in Oakland, and if Peter Magowan continues to say that San Jose is off-limits. Add to that, no new stadium and a lease agreement that's running on fumes you can see why we wonder what's going to happen with them.

If the team has to move (truth be known they should have never left Philly), then we'll take them. Better us than some place else.

The A's should stay in Oakland but that town has burned all of it's bridges and is about to lose the A's and the Raiders..They made their bed with Al Davis so now they are gonna have to lie in it..If they would have worried about the A's rather than giving Al Davis a sweetheart of a deal to move back (which he is now trying to break) and worry about getting the A's a new park it would have never came to this...In my mind Oakland is almost as gone as the Expos are...

Hey Ted, what high school and year did you graduate. I went to Kennedy High in Richmond, class of 1981.

I went to De Anza, which I guess is technically in El Sobronte. I did live on Solono Ave. just off San Pablo Ave. as a kid, and I know of Kennedy well as they were our main rival during the time I went there. Too much. smile

I went to De Anza for only one year (dating myself now... 1976) as a freshman before moving just outside of Eugene, and then a year later to Portland.

Ted, I grew up in El Cerrito (Home of Creedence Clearwater Revival) and went to Mira Vista Elementary and then Adams Jr. High, right up the road from Solano Ave.
