Well as some of you might have noticed we setup some new levels of members. This is based on the number of posts and is broken down as follows:

0-50 : Rookie Member
50-100 : Member
100-500 : Veteran Member
500-1000 : MVP Member
Above this, there are a couple more (secret for now), but I think Maury is the only one who will ever reach these.

A rookie is someone who has less than 50 posts? I guess that makes me wonder why I am still a rookie. But no matter. Ichiro was a "rookie" after he had played for many years in the Big Leagues, in Japan. So I guess I have good company. Just one rookie's point of view.

Ohmygosh!!! I progressed from rookie to senior member in a single day! Maybe I should go call my mother. She would be so proud!

I was gone the weekend, and when I returned, I found that I had gone from a "senior" to a "veteran." So . . .

What if I never served in the Armed Forces?

Can I still get the discount at Denny's?

Thanks for posting this info. I'm starting to get a complex with the word "rookie" next to my name. I think this finally puts my total up to 50 posts.

I'll be up there with Maury in a few months.

No worry Maury, I don't have a life either..lol

To put Maury's posting prowess in prospective....

When I hit 3,000 I was about 2,500 behind him...I hit 4,000 this week and he's gained around 100 extra posts on my pace...He needs to take about a 1 month vacation so I can get within abou 1000... Big Grin

Funny though....I've outposted him since I've been here though...Does that count? Razz

Cloutier SUCKS!!!

GO DUCKS!!

Yes, as I mentioned "My name is 'Teddy Ballgame Rules' and I'm a baseball addict."

My wife thinks I need a 12-Step program.

That said, I'm finding it more and more important to address issues here now. Used to be a "pure fun thing" here, but doing the "Info guy" has gotten very serious with the exposure in the media to this site, and fan forum.

I can tell you that both Portland papers (the one daily and the other bi-weekly) come in here as lurkers daily. I also know that several radio stations come in here daily.

You get into this situation and you start thinking very clearly about what you say and how you say it.

I also want to make sure and bring up some comments about press nationwide that has been off the mark, or has bad info in it in case they are reading.

This ain't no race to see who posts the most. Smile

Maury,

I agree with what you said about it not being a race to see who can post the most. However my thought is I'd like to post enough to get up to Veteran in the next few months (At least by end of July). I went from Rookie Member to Senior Member pretty quick..after that it's a huge jump to 500 posts.

It's important to have good information to post, but still keep it fun as a volunteer.

Keep it up David.

The biggest thing that we want to have any members do that are going to spend a lot of time here is get as educated in all the pieces of the process as possible.

This is especially true of all the values that HB3606 has, and what value MLB to Portland would bring.

This is some of what I will talk about on Tues. as I want to be able to have people interface with people outside of PGE Park. The thing is, we need people that are going to be able to answer the tough questions, and get the points across that we are pursuing, which is economic development.

Posting here is an end to a means. These forums are mearly a tool to allow us to learn and grow in this process.

In that we view these posts and Forums as a way to push the agenda forward.

I'm glad to see that you are so passionate about getting involved here David, and it will be good to see you Tues.

By the way... I just noticed that I'm now over 7,000 posts which means I need to get a life Smile
